Pendulum

If I were to ask my most important questions
Yes, no, maybe
I don’t know, ask me later, would tell me
the pendulum hanging from the chain.

In reality it is not what one doesn’t know,
but what one is not ready to accept
If the pendulum would show me what I hide from myself
Dreams instead of regrets
because only then the time would come
to grab and run with the conscience
If there is hope despite misconceptions
glittering, incandescent
I would salute through the name of a novel:
For my soul the bells toll
