To begin their Refugee Awareness Week, Goldsmiths English PEN are hosting an event centred around the work of refugee writers; an evening which will consist of reading the poetry of displaced people and brainstorming ideas for new creative pieces based on it, alongside inevitable discussions about the current state of the crisis.

The Poetry Translation Centre will source and distribute the stimulus texts. Pizza and drinks will be provided – we aim to create a safe and comfortable space in which our guests can internalise the incredible creativity of refugee writers and cultivate their own range of pieces in order to continue raising awareness.

The event will be held in room RHB 304.
