Now in its second year, this is our annual round-up of the Poetry Translation Centre’s highlights. Join the staff as we recall our tours with Brazilian poet, artist and activist Adelaide Ivánova, Chinese poet Yu Yoyo and Cuban poet Legna Rodríguez Iglesias, who joined us from her new home in Miami for a week in October
We also look back on our new Youth Programme, Translating Poetries, our very first symposium held with SOAS in September and the launch of the Sarah Maguire Prize for poetry in translation.
Finally, we let slip what we are looking forward to in the new year, including publications and tours with Eritrean writer Ribka Sibhatu and Palestinian Najwan Darwish as well as more translation workshops looking at the work of Brazilian poet and artist Carla Diacov.
