Reza Mohammadi, Azita Ghahreman and Shakila Azizzada read at The Wordsworth Trust with British poets, Nick Laird, Mimi Khalvati and Jo Shapcott, who read her translations of Farzaneh Khojandi.
After the event, Andrew Forster, Literature Officer at The Wordsworth Trust, said on Facebook ‘I thought the Persian Poets gig in Grasmere was fantastic. Poetry Translation Centre events are among my favourite events of everything I’ve run’.
Sadly, tragic personal circumstances mean that Partaw Naderi and Farzaneh Khojandi have been unable to travel to the UK to take part in the tour. Our thoughts are with them.
