The radical approaches reading group is a fortnightly online space dedicated to the discussion of revolutionary ideas in core theoretical texts. It’s a space to learn together, to grow in our political understandings and get to grips with the core arguments of theorists thinking through and writing about decolonisation, gender, the construction of history and much more. These texts can help us understand our own position in a crisis-orientated world and give us a framework for analysing the material conditions which arise as a consequence of historical circumstance.
Details
Lead by writer and activist Lola Olufemi these six sessions will run via Zoom at 2pm Sunday every two weeks from October 4 to December 13. We will send you a chapter from a key text relating to decolonisation to read before each session.
The Radical Approaches Reading Group is FREE. However, we encourage participants to commit to attending all six sessions.
Lola Olufemi is a former Cambridge Student Union Womens’ officer, at Cambridge she also was involved as an outspoken member to decolonise the English curriculum. Lola regularly publishes articles for magazines like the Guardian and Varsity and is the author of Feminism, Interrupted from Pluto Press.
