Mujib Mehrdad is an established poet of the younger generation who writes free verse and is highly respected both as a poet and as a scholar.

His work will be introduced by Alireza Abiz, an award-winning translator and has translated many leading modern English-language poets into Persian, including W B Yeats, Ted Hughes, Seamus Heaney, Derek Walcott, Basil Bunting, Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg.

Alireza Abiz has lead many translation workshops with the PTC including sessions on Fariba Shadloo, Ali Abdollahi and Masoud Ahmadi.
