Please note that the date of this event has changed to Monday, November 21st.
At this workshop, we will be returning to the work of Vietnamese poet Linh San to continue our translation of their prose poem entitled ‘on a species of bird that doesn’t fly away’. The poem concerns memory and as the lines begin the poet is being pulled into an intense recollection. As the poem progresses the text will reveal the death of a parent.
The guest translator Phương Anh Nguyen and the workshop facilitator Helen Bowell hope there will be a chance to get to the end of the transition in this online session and return to the start of the text, editing, polishing and refining the English Version.
