Translator Atef Alshaer joined us to lead a workshop on the poetry of Abdullah al Ryami from Oman, whose work we first translated in 2005.
In a lively session, we completed the poem, ‘The Speaking Hour’, which is now available on our website, together with notes on some of the issues we discussed translating the poem.
