Rain

Rain

It sparks lightning
and broadcasts thunder.
It cancels drought
in the calendar’s leaves.
It weeps for all the trees that stand
and for all the stones that sit.
It may give life
but it drowns
my will to live.
I have tried on every legend like a cloak
and rain is the one cloak
that never fits.

Rain

The igniter of lightning
the radio of thunder
and the eraser of dryness’s notebook.
It is a cry for all the standings up of trees
and all the sittings down of stones
it is the revitalizer of the world and my killer
I put on all the legends
and the rain was the one legend
that could not be put on.
