Ahmed Ismail Yusuf’s short stories have featured in many publications, amongst others, Bildhaan, an international journal of Somali studies and Mizna, an Arab-American literary magazine. He has a B.S. in creative writing and psychology from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and an MPA (Master of Public Affairs) from the University of Minnesota, where he is currently employed. His plays are often performed on Somali television and he is set to publish two books this autumn: Gorgorkii Yimi with Redsea-Online, which is a collection of short stories in Somali, and Somalis in Minnesota with the Minnesota Historical Society.
