Yasmin Mohamed Kahin is a pioneering Somali playwright, poet, and filmmaker. Her work often addresses social issues, leading national tours of poetry and theatre that focus on youth, women, and vulnerable communities. Yasmin’s career includes nearly a decade with BBC Media Action as a radio drama actor and writer. She earned a degree in Law in 2012 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Theatre and Film Production. Yasmin is a mother of four and resides in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with her family.
